My March Mingle Card...

I have been so busy lately, I finally got a few minutes, ok, an hour (lol), to create my card for my March Mingle recipient. Those of you that do not know what a Mingle is, it's when we each send a Magnolia stamped card to another member of our Magnolia-licious Yahoo Group. It is a lot of fun, seeing others creations.

I colored Tulips Tilda with my copics, used a little sugar coating glitter from Doodlebug Designs, ribbon, Nestabilities, and some cute little rhinestoned embellished paper flowers, that I colored green.

So here are a few pictures of my creation, I hope she likes it...

New Tilda In Tights Card

Evening all...

This week one of my fabulous co-workers, switched classrooms with me, so that I could use her Smartboard for two days to present a lesson to my 7th grade science classes. To show my appreciation, I made her this really cute Tilda card. I am planning to put it in her box in the morning.

I used my Nestabilities, for the back ground behind Tilda. She of course is colored with my copics. I added ribbon, and a double border punch from Martha Stewart punches. I also distressed the edges with close to cocoa ink from Stampin' Up!

The bottom sentiment says "You're too Kind" by Stampin' Up! set Whimsical Words, (a Sale-a-bration set, I received free). I added a light brown half back pearl from Queen & Co for the dot over the i, in kind.

You can't see the inside of the card, because I had already written my message when I shot the picture, but it is also distressed with the same ink, and double matted, with the floral paper from the front and white card stock.

I hope she likes it, and you too! Please tell me your thoughts.

More Copics...

Tonight, I drove up to Jerry's Artarama in Raleigh, and bought 25 more copic markers, Bristol paper, (trying it as an alternative to watercolor paper), and cute little blank, white, Bristol artist trading cards, already pre cut, for me to stamp my images on. I have heard Bristol paper is an excellent paper for copics. Since they had a fabulous St. Patrick's Day Sale at Jerry's today, I could not resist. I now have a total of 90 copic markers. I think I am done for a while. I want to purchase another E11 Barely Beige, because it's always hard to find it in stock. If you need a list of markers, as an idea of what to start your collection, as let me know.

After Jerry's we went by Archiver's, and I bought a few cute items...

Then off to dinner at Macaroni Grill..the best chicken parm, I have ever eaten...

Well off to bed, happy scrapping!

A Great Day!

Sorry, I haven't posted lately, I have been extremely busy. A long week has been an understatement. A cracked windw, twice in one week, from a rock on the highway, two different road trips, and then just a ton of other things, I won't even mention online, but just know, I've been stressed out this week.

Onto the good stuff...today was great, I slept in, cleaned up, and got some card making and stamping done. Yesterday, I was at the Cape Fear Maternity and Baby Expo in Wilmington, NC, at my Tastefully Simple booth. Met a lot of great moms to be, and did a little shopping for someone else (no babies here).

While we were down in Wilmington, the kids also got a chance to go to the Aquarium at Fort Fisher..very nice! There were tons of turtles, which of course is my favorite animal, so guess who has a new screen saver?

Last weekend, I went to the Enchanted Cottage up in Lewisville, NC and The Stamping and Scrapbooking Room in Greensboro, NC. Needless to say, I had a super time. I bought several new Magnolia stamps, a Copic Airbrush System, 12 new copic markers, to bring my new total top 60, and a ton of other stamps and goodies.

I also went by Michael's and picked up several new white organization cubes..so I now have a total of 16 cubes in various styles, two desks, and two shelves, as well as the spinning organzation cube. I will post a new pictures when I get a moment. Currently each unit, of 8 cubes, desk, shelf, etc. is on two different walls, I can't wait until we move, and I have my own scrapbooking room again, instead of sharing it with the bedroom. That way all of the units will be on the same side, with 3 seperate areas to scrap, and just one shelf, actually stacked, (trust me, hard to visualize, but will be great, when I have it together. )

Went by Walmart in Lenoir, NC on the way home and picked up a Pixie mini sewing machine by Singer..can't wait to use it, to sew some of my cards.

While out of town, we also went to Grandfather Mountain and Asheville. It was absolutely beautiful, there was still a ton of snow everywhere.
